Jakarta Band from Jakarta, Mahir & The ALLIGATORS released a new EP titled "I'm Home" on Friday, March 28 independently. The mini album consists of three tracks that combine the essence of blues with elements of rock, soul, and sentiment, presenting unique and meaningful attractive works.

The three tracks carry their own energy and stories as outlined in the lyrics "I'm Home", "I'm Iron Horse", and "Basi (Anti Hoax and Terrorism)"

Led by Mahir Mayanto (Mahir Blues), who in addition to being an advocate guitarist and vocalist, Mahir & The ALLIGATORS has long been known as a band that has consistently explored the blues genre with high creativity.

This unit was formed from school time with friends at SMP St. Bellarminus who was originally a member of the club Tae Kwon Do. The name ALLIGATOR was spontaneously selected when they were watching the film "Alligator 2". This spontaneity spirit is a characteristic that continues to be attached to their journey.

"I'm Home" as the focus of the track is a story about the parables of a missing child, raising the theme of love, forgiveness, and conversion. This song can also be understood as a story about domestic relations, which emphasizes the importance of improvement and forgiveness in order to build new hope.

While the song "Circumbes" is a remake of the band's first single, which was released in 2012, featuring the nuances of Southern Rock enriched with optimal harmonics and guitar sound. In the lyrics, this song tells the story of a Biker from the afterlife who descends to earth to eradicate injustice.

Meanwhile, the song "Basi (Anti Hoax and Terrorism)" voiced criticism of hoaxes and terrorism, reflecting the band's social commitment to relevant important issues, as well as involving cross-generational collaborations with talented musicians such as Rini Asmara, Edo Widiz, and TNI-POLRI personnel.

The creative EP process involves various studios, such as M Studio, Mako Brimob Studio, Mekel Music Studio owned by Once Mekel, Mamokiak Studio, and Widiztortion Studio.

The musicians involved included Yezki Hutagalung (vocals), Saddam Wardany, Gideon Maukary, Steven Pasaribu (bass), Genta Pratama (blues harp), Robert J (keyboard), Rini Asmara, and Yossie Mirada (drums), and Denny Tewe (vocals).

"Special appreciation was conveyed to those who support the EP production process, including Iptu Dwi from the Mobile Brigade Corps Headquarters for supporting the recording studio facilities, as well as Bertha Mayanto who appeared as a model in the video clip "I'm Home", said Mahir Blues.
