JAKARTA - Jikustik this year celebrates the 29th anniversary of their career journey in the music industry. There are many dynamics and ups and downs that they have faced so far, but they are still working.

Jikustic personnel hope that they can continue to inspire more people in the future. The band, which was formed in 1996, has produced 14 albums with a collection of love songs and heartbreak that have touched many people.

Jikustik guitarist, Ardi Nurdin, in a band press statement on Thursday said that Jikustic songs that are often considered as love ballads actually have a deeper meaning.

For example, the song titled "Puisi" which has been considered a love song contains reflection about the relationship between a servant and God.

"Actually, the lyrics of this song represent sincerity, hope, and longing for the Creator," said Ardi quoting ANTARA, March 20.

Icha Jikustik's song "Take Your Turn away" explicitly describes a person's prayer and determination of one's faith.

"We believe that the highest peak of love is love for the God of the Universe," said Icha, a Jikustic vocalist and bassist.

"However, each listener's interpretation can be different, and we appreciate that," he added.

Jikustik personnel are grateful to the fans who continue to support their journey in the music industry.

"Hopefully next year, at the celebration of three decades of Jikustic, our songs can continue to inspire and be meaningful for more people," said Icha.
