JAKARTA - Jimi Multhazam called the album's first studio for The Up Treasurers, 'Matraman' (2004), a blessing in itself. During the two decades of the album, Jimi admitted that he had gained a lot.

Meanwhile, the album 'Matraman' with the main track of the same name is still the mainstay of The Up Shields in its stage action to date. Jimi also feels that what he currently has comes from the album.

"Indeed, I live from the album, until now. How many assets have I got from it. But for sure, the album is still (profitable), even the artwork is still being hunted by fans," Jimi told the media crew at Pondok Labu, South Jakarta last week.

Jimi also shared how the vinyl album "Matraman" was released some time ago which he called "magic". Just imagine, the entire vinyl sold out within an hour.

"The vinyl time was so magical. In one hour it sold out instantly and the queue was very long. Frankly, I was surprised to see my album being appreciated like that," he said.

What was even more surprising, said Jimi, was that the selling price of the vinyl album 'Matraman' rose many times the next day.

"Then the next day, the price has become Rp. 3 million, collectable items, yes," he said with a laugh. So, on the second day there was already sold in Blok M for Rp. 3 million, from (the initial price) Rp. 350 thousand.

Furthermore, Jimi also reminisced about the two decades' journey of the album. He felt there were many changes in his perspective on the Matraman

Matraman is an album that you could say we do it with fun, with the knowledge of the type of level. All we want is exploration. We still don't know anything at that time," he said. Alhamdulillah, many like it. So, indeed we want new things, want to get out of the habit. So, when I hear it's the same now, there's a lot of progress.
