Herjunot Ali Shares Unique Experiences While Being A DJ

JAKARTA - Herjunot Ali shared his experience in living his career in the music world as a disjoki (DJ).

One of the things that had gone viral on social media was when someone came to him who was performing on stage, to offer liquor, but he refused.

The man who is familiarly called Junot has clear reasons for the refusal.

Even though the DJ world is close to parties and liquor, he chooses to keep paying attention to his body health.

"It's not because of why, because I'm old, I'm 40 years old, I have to take care of my health," Junot told the media crew in Tendean, South Jakarta recently.

Not only alcoholic beverages, Junot admitted that people who came to the show were often given something. He called one of the strangest gifts in the form of 'majmat'.

"I was once given an obstacle, it was kept open with the children, the contents were leaves, then there was paper with the words, using what writing. Then yes, we played throwing it," he said.

"We don't know what it is until now. I've never tried to find out either," Junot added.

The man who is also known as a big screen film actor also shared his experience in dealing with fans.

Given that he often appears in nightclubs that are thick with party nuances, Junot and his team have their own way of keeping themselves from people who are starting to lose control.

"My management usually when I'm DJ, then there are (people) who go up (on stage), they are ready on the left-right. Once something is strange, they are immediately withdrawn," he said.

"And if it's distributed, the management team usually asks not to throw it. If it throws a lot, it's tired too," he added.

Given the possibility of fans arriving aggressively, such as coming and hugging immediately, Junot also has its own way

"It's not allowed. If we meet me, we shake hands and take photos. For example, hugs have a rate," he concluded with a laugh.
