Inspired By Coldplay, Rossa Wants To Hold An Environmentally Friendly Concert

JAKARTA - Rossa brings a big mission for his 37th solo concert, "Here I Am", which will be held at the Indonesia Arena, Central Jakarta on May 23.

Inspired by Coldplay, which is known for its music concert which upholds the sustainability of Earth, Rossa tries her best to present environmentally friendly performances.

"What is certain is that I want this concert not only about music. This time, according to the title (Here I Am), I don't want it to be only useful for myself, but I want to be useful to other people too," said Rossa during a press conference in Semanggi, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 5.

"I am very, very moved about how to reduce pollution. And I have some friends who are really good at that, and they will contribute to this concert," he continued.

The singer who is often dubbed the Queen of Pop Indonesia said that Inspire Production as the organizer has collaborated with Get Plastic to take advantage of plastic waste produced from performances.

"I was inspired by coldplay. I also want to make something good for Earth, one of which is in collaboration with Get Plastic," said Rossa.

Later, some of the merchandise presented will use processed plastic waste as the basic ingredient.

"So watching the show is not only for entertainment, but can also have a good impact on the environment," he said.

Lebih dari itu, Rossa dan penyelenggara juga memutuskan untuk mendonasikan sebagian hasil penjualan tiket dari konferensi nanti. Donasi tersebut akan digunakan untuk membeli mesin yang mampu mengolah sampah plastik.

Meanwhile, the Here I Am concert carries the theme Empowerment, Energic & Positivity, Collaboration, Technology, Social & Environmental Campaign. The organizers have sold tickets at prices ranging from IDR 350 thousand to IDR 3.5 million.

Apart from Indonesia, Rossa will also bring this show to Malaysia and Singapore. The concert at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil will take place on June 14 and in Singapore at the end of this year.
