Johnny Rotten Opens Voice About Sex Pistols Tour That Doesn't Involve Him

JAKARTA - John Lydon alias Johnny Rotten has finally opened his voice about the recent Sex Pistols show, which will continue with tours in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe throughout 2025.

Meanwhile, news about the Sex Pistols tour emerged in 2024, when it was announced that the band "which featured early Steve Jones (guitar) personnel, Glen Matlock (bass) and Paul Cook (drums) will reunite for two charity concerts at Bush Hall, West London.

However, the reunion did not feature Johnny as a vocalist. Instead, they chose Frank Carter, who was previously the frontman ofTENws, Pure Love, and Frank Carter And The Rattlesnakes.

In a recent interview with The I Paper, Johnny expressed his frustration because he was not involved as the initial vocalist. He also expressed his fear that this time the Sex Pistols tour tarnished the existing legacy.

"When I first heard that Sex Pistols were going on tour this year without me, it annoyed me," Johnny said.

"It annoyed me. I just thought they were really going to kill all the good from the Pistols by removing the core and purpose of everything," he continued.
