Ariyo Wahab Comeback With More Organic Arrangements For New Singles

JAKARTA - Ariyo Wahab made a comeback after eight years as a soloist by releasing his latest single entitled 'Love'. This song was introduced by the joining of the 50-year-old singer to the MyMusic label.

Single Cinta is an old song, which Ariyo has written with Bongky BIP and Bastian Cozy in 2004.

It took more than two decades to introduce 'Love' to the public. Therefore, Ariyo wants this song to be re-polled, with the help of Chiko Wijaya.

"It's just because it used to be like ancient ransmen, I finally wanted this song to be arranged more organically. More acoustic, more wise, more mature," said Ariyo Wahab in Sudirman, Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 6.

According to Ariyo, Bongky originally composed this song by including elements of music from The Beatles, Robbie Williams, and Michael Buble. But at this time, acoustic arrangements were deemed more appropriate.

Making a simpler arrangement, said Ariyo, is a challenge in itself. The reason is, with minimal arrangements, the song must be enjoyed by many people.

"It's really difficult there, in my opinion, how can we make simple but hit music, it's nice to hear, rather than us really complicated ransmen," he said.

"If it's complicated, it's easy. If we make it difficult, it's easy, we'll add this, add that. But if we create the right arrangement, at the right point when we hear it immediately stabs the heart, now that's the most difficult," he continued.

Ariyo also explained the meaning that he wanted to convey through his new song. This song is still talking about love. Because in my opinion, love never runs out of words to be interpreted.

"Especially for this song 'Love', I interpret this lyric that someone deserves and gives a sincere and pure love, without any coercion, without us taking anything else because of wealth and all kinds of things. Because I believe we can get or give a sincere and pure love, we will feel a love that forever."
