JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has banned live music in restaurants, restaurants, and cafes during the month of Ramadan this year.

Previously, during PPKM Mikro, Anies allowed live music with acoustic types to appear in restaurants. With a note, it does not cause a crowd.

Acting Head of the Tourism Industry Division of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Dedi Sumardi said this decision was contained in the Governor's Decree (Kepgub) Number 434 of 2021 and Decree of the Disparekraf Number 313 of 2021.

"During the month of Ramadan, all live music to the acoustic type is prohibited. Later there will be more policies to allow it," said Dedi, some time ago.

As it turned out, the musicians complained about the ban on live music performances. This was heard directly by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno. During the mass vaccination of musicians, artists and cultural observers, they submitted their complaints to Sandiaga.

Following up on this, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy held a meeting with DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Pangdam Jaya and Kapolda Metro Jaya to allow live music in restaurants to cafes again.

"Musicians and artists who have been vaccinated this morning provide input, especially in DKI. They want to be facilitated so they can continue to be creative," Sandiaga said at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 19.

Sandiaga also again conveyed the aspirations of the musicians to the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria while cycling together before breaking the fast at the DKI City Hall.

After coordinating, Sandiaga said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will again facilitate the artists and musicians to return to performing in cafes. Because, according to him, restaurants and cafes are not the biggest triggers for the transmission of COVID-19.

"But it must be ensured that they (musicians) adhere to health protocols. Maybe their capacity, hours are limited, the dance floor (dance floor) is eliminated. The focus is on how to wear masks, maintain distance, and how to socialize not going home," Sandiaga explained.

"In essence, we are trying to facilitate and find solutions. Because these musicians can also be invited to work together to socialize not going home," continued the former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta.

However, DKI Pemprov still needs time to prepare the regulation. "So, friends will be patient first. This is the level of DKI. In the national level, it is allowed. This DKI will collaborate," said Sandiaga.
