JAKARTA - Music education in universities usually studies Western classical music, contemporary music such as jazz, or traditional music. However, one of the campuses in the Netherlands, Summa College, which is located in Eindhoven, offers lessons on metal music.
Summa College opens a study program called Metal Factory, where learning will focus on metal music.
According to the official Metal Factory website, the curriculum taught will train students to become independent artists or entrepreneurs in the music industry.
The website adds that career opportunities after graduating include songwriters, producing music, as well as teaching and training. Graduates can also continue their studies at prestigious music schools such as the Conservatory Of Amsterdam.
"We also have alumni who finally graduate in the field of copyright, management, music therapy, or speech therapy," read a statement on Metal Factory's official website.
