The Vocalist Was Treated For Pneumonia, Goo Goo Dolls Postpones South African Tour

JAKARTA - Unpleasant news came from one of the iconic 90s bands, Goo Goo Dolls. They were forced to postpone their tour in South Africa due to the health condition of vocalist John Rzeznik.

John is known to be being treated intensively at the hospital because of the Pneumonia he is currently suffering from. Through the group's official account, they shared the announcement.

"We are very sad because we have to postpone our show in South Africa. This country means a lot to us, and we are very excited to create more memories with you," vocalist Goo Goo Dolls wrote in his statement, December 3.

"Unfortunately, my doctor has advised to rest and recover. Thank you for your understanding. We will make this wait worth it when we return in March," he continued.

Goo Goo Dolls has previously been scheduled to become a headliner at a number of music festivals in South Africa. Those who were going to perform in Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria this week were forced to cancel it.

Finally, John Rzeznik promised to rise from his condition soon. He hopes to meet fans who are waiting for Goo Goo Goo Dolls' arrival in South Africa.

"We're trying to get back there as soon as possible. And I'll keep telling you about it, and I'm really sorry we couldn't do it. I'm sorry for this incident. We're coming and making up for our mistakes," he concluded.
