Marc Storace Wants To Replace Brian Johnson In AC/DC If There Is An Opportunity

JAKARTA - Marc Storace (Krokus vocalist) expressed his willingness to join AC/DC if his current vocalist Brian Johnson is unable to stay.

Previously, Storace had the opportunity to become AC/DC frontman when the band was looking for a replacement for Bon Scott who died on February 19, 1980 due to acute alcohol poisoning.

At that time Storace refused to audition to become an AC/DC vocalist. He prefers to continue to be a frontman for Krokus. Finally, Johnson was chosen to replace Scott, and still survives today.

The opportunity to return to Storace in 2016. Johnson considered leaving the band due to hearing problems. For some reason, the change of AC/DC vocalist did not happen.

In a recent interview with Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk, Storace assured himself he would try it, if that opportunity came.

"Okay, I'll definitely try it. I mean, to be honest, I want to sing those songs and see the audience out there," Storace said.

According to him, it doesn't make sense if the opportunity comes and he refuses.

Regarding the reason for his refusal in 1980, Storace admitted that he was not sure about the sustainability of AC/DC after being left behind by a figure as big as Bon Scott. He prefers to be loyal to Krokus.

"If I was on a sinking ship, I would be the first to jump. But I don't want to complain to my friends. My loyalty to Krokus at that time was like a fire that burned the forest. And for me, at that time, AC/DC was a ship that sank. They have just lost great singers, great songwriters, Bon Scott," he said.

Vocalist 73 said joining AC/DC at the time was far more risky for him.

"I didn't even think that far. Everything just happened in my brain, all these different points and turning points. And it was like, 'Hey, no, no. Steve, no, no.' Thank you for the offer, but I'll wait and Krokus will go everywhere,' he said.
