JAKARTA - The Rain is an example of a solid band that has had a 22-year career without changing personnel. Going through peak glory and difficult challenges since 2001, this band from Yogyakarta is still going strong with its four personnel.

Consisting of Indra Prasta (vocals, guitar), Iwan Tanda (guitar, vocals), Ipul Bahri (bass, vocals), and Aang Anggoro (drums, vocals), The Rain has gone through the era of Cassette Tapes, Compact Discs, Ring Back Tones, to the current streaming music revolution.

After releasing seven studio albums, The Rain is now working on their 8th album. Several songs have been released by The Rain previously.

“The work is done in installments. In the past, we could spend one to two months in the studio working on an album until it was finished, now the method is different. We focus on working on each song. Without any deadlines,” said Iwan Tanda in a written broadcast received by VOI.

A new song has been released by The Rain entitled "Perihal Kepeaan", a ballad song written by Indra Prasta that is thick with acoustic guitar strumming throughout the song. Going through his teenage years listening to a lot of Iwan Fals and Ebiet G. Ade's works, quite influenced the way Indra wrote this song.

“Back when I was in elementary school, I often listened to my father’s Camellia I-IV album cassettes by Ebiet G. Ade, while reading the lyrics on the cassette. Then when walking to and from school, I often hummed Iwan Fals songs that I started to know at that time,” recalled Indra.

Straightforward lyrics, firm acoustic guitar strumming, and Indra Prasta's distinctive voice color, wrap this song nicely.

"As the title suggests, this song tells about sensitivity in a relationship, about someone who is considered insensitive by their partner. Hopefully, it will be a beautiful gift for friends who are waiting for The Rain's latest work," concluded Aang Anggoro.
