Jack Black Calls Ozzy Osbourne Frontman The Greatest In Rock N Roll History

JAKARTA - After a long wait, Ozzy Osbourne was finally inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. This is the inauguration of the two, after being inaugurated with Black Sabbath in 2006.

On the eve of the inauguration, October 20, Jack Black was appointed to give a speech. The Tenacious D vocalist called Ozzy the greatest frontman in rock n' roll history.

"Meeting Ozzy's first solo album, the 'Blizzard Of Ozz' is the most metal thing I've ever seen, and I don't even know what metal is," said Jack Black, citing Blabbermouth, Wednesday, October 23.

"Then I went back to Ozzy's previous albums, to Black Sabbath. And I'm like, an shameless person, this guy finds heavy metal... the darkest and heaviest thing the world has ever heard of," he continued.

Jack Black's welcome received applause from all those present at the inauguration.

After Jack's remarks, Ozzy went on stage. Sitting on the chair, the 75-year-old singer received the long-awaited award.

"Well, here we are. Did you know? I don't believe I am here alone. Let me say thank you, because I will not bore you with a long and long-winded monologous. I want to thank whoever chose me to enter the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame for my solo work. Thank you profusely. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you," said Ozzy.

"My fans have been very loyal to me for years, I can't quite thank them. Over the years I was lucky to be able to play with some of the guitar players, drummers, the greatest bass players in the world, and some of them were here tonight. However, I have to say one thing for a man named Randy Rhoads. If I don't meet Randy Rhoads, I don't think I'm going to sit here right now. And more than that, my wife Sharon. Save my life. And my grandchildren and my babies. I love them all, "he continued.

After the inauguration, several well-known musicians appeared on stage to pay their respects.

Chad Smith ( Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer), Robert Trujillo ( Metallicabassis), Andrew Watt (produser and multi-instrumentalist), and Adam Wakeman (keyboard) joined TOOL vocalist Major James Keenan and Wolfgang Van Halen performed "Crazy Train".

Next, Zakk Wylde and Jelly Roll joined to bring "Mama I'm Coming Home".

Billy Idol also took over vocals and Billy Steve Total joined in for the third and final song of the show.
