Chester Bennington's Son Doesn't Accept Mike Shinode Appointing New Vocalist Linkin Park

JAKARTA - The majority of fans agree that Linkin Park will rise in a new formation. Some disagree, including the son of the late Chester Bennington, Jaime.

Through a priabdi social media post, Jaime said Mike Shinode had betrayed fans' trust with the appointment of a new vocalist. The singer in question is Emily Armstrong, who is also known as a Dead Sara band member.

Jaime highlighted Mike and Emily's friendship that they thought was in 2019. But on several occasions, it is reported that they have known each other since 2017, and revealed Linkin Park's intentions some time after Chester's death.

"Fans objected because you recruited an old friend @emilyarmstrong to replace (Chester)," he wrote on Instagram Story, September 9.

Jaime feels Emily is not the right person because she is suspected of being part of Church of Science with some of the evidence she has included. That's why he said Mike had betrayed the trust of fans.

"You have betrayed your trust for decades by fans and those who support you, including me," he said.

In the end, he wrote a short sentence which was a summary of his anger at Linkin Park's current condition. "I never supported (the linkage)," he concluded.
