Performance of Senandung Masa Kecil to Celebrate National Children's Day

JAKARTA - In order to welcome the celebration of National Children's Day which falls on July 23, the Galeri Indonesia Kaya presents various performances for art lovers, especially children, on weekends throughout July.

A performance entitled Senandung Masa Kecil was one of the offerings presented.

With a duration of around 60 minutes, the Senandung Masa Kecil performance features children and teenagers who are members of the Trust Junior Orchestra.

They performed nine repertoires of Indonesian children's songs from various eras, such as Libur Telah Tiba, Cublak Cublak Suweng, Naik Naik Ke Puncak Gunung, and Ada Kodok.

Apart from that, Aku Adalah Anak Gembala, Burung Kutilang, Bully, Ambilkan Bulan Bu, and Bermain Musik are also shown.

Dr. Nathania Karina as Music Director of the TRUST Orchestra said that the performance was aimed at providing inspiration for Indonesian children to learn more about their culture and interest in music through the songs they performed.

"We hope that, through music, children can find their passion and feel encouraged to continue developing their talents and skills," said Nathania Karina in her statement, Sunday, July 21.

"Apart from that, we also want to show that music can be an effective means of expressing ourselves and appreciating the beauty of Indonesia's rich and diverse culture. Hopefully our performance will entertain and have a positive impact on art lovers who are present today."

Meanwhile, Renitasari Adrian as Program Director of the Galeri Indonesia Kaya stated that her party will continue to support the world of Indonesian performing arts and will always present a variety of interesting performances for art lovers.

"This time, we collaborated with the children's orchestra group, TRUST Junior Orchestra, which was founded in 2018 and is dominated by Indonesian children aged 7 years and over to inspire art lovers who filled the Galeri Indonesia Kaya Auditorium, with the various songs they performed. Hopefully this performance can entertain, fill the weekend, and enliven the celebration of National Children's Day," concluded Renitasari Adrian.
