Kunto Aji Responds To Concert Spectators Who Burn Stages In Tangerang

JAKARTA - Kunto Aji through his Instagram account responded to a music concert that ended in chaos at Pasar Kemis, Tangerang on the evening of Sunday, June 23.

As is known, the paid concert was canceled because the organizers had not fully paid the performers who were going to appear. The audience who was already at the location was angry because the performer never appeared on stage.

The anger of the audience caused chaos until the stage was burned. This resulted in losses for stage tenant vendors. Not only that, but the musical instruments on stage were also damaged.

Responding to this, Kunto Aji reminded that losses did not only occur to spectators who had purchased tickets, but also vendors who were most likely not paid off by the organizers.

"Friends, an event that failed was not only you as spectators who felt the impact, the stage vendor, sound, tent, dil was also hit. In fact, usually they don't pay off, they lose," wrote Kunto Aji in an Instagram upload, Monday, June 24.

The singer and songwriter from Yogyakarta said that the behavior of the audience that was chaotic to the point of burning and destroying the stage could not be justified.

"Don't burn or be damaged again, wrong target, both victims."

For information, Guyon Waton and NDX AKA, who were supposed to appear that night, also revealed the reasons for the cancellation of the concert. Through a letter written by the organizers, they admitted that they had not been paid in full.

"With this, he stated that he was able to resolve the administrative shortage of NDX AKA and Guyon Waton as performers at the Lentera Festival event, Tangerang on June 23, 2024, maximum at 18.00 WIB," read a letter written hand by Muhamad Dian Permana, Chief Executive of the Lentera Festival.

"If we Lentera Festival cannot carry out these obligations, then NDX AKA and Guyon Waton have the right not to appear at the Lentera Festival event," he continued.

"We as the Lentera Festival committee are fully responsible for the cancellation of the NDX AKA and Guyon Watin performances at the Lentera Festival event."
