Through Winding Travel, Bara Suara Introduces The Third Album Of Jalaran Sadrah

JAKARTA - Bara Suara introduced the third album entitled Sakarah'. The self-produced album through Hu Shah Records includes nine songs, including several songs that have already been released, namely Flying in Time, Celebrating Fana, and Fatalis.

Iga Massardi (guitar, vocals), TJ Kusuma (guitar), Marco Steffiano (drums), Asteriska (vocals), Gerald Situmorang (bass), and Puti Chitara (vocals) have been working on this album since 2021. At that time, Bara Suara was walking through the pandemic without a manager and record company.

"Sadrah's position means surrender. This album occurred, written, resolved because of resignation," said Iga Massardi in a written statement received by VOI, Thursday, June 20.

"We are resigned in empowerment. In despair, in weakness and smallness our role as human beings can finally only accept His destiny and path," he continued.

At the beginning of the work on the 'Sakarah Line', all Bara Suara personnel pulled over and settled in a villa in Puncak, Bogor to consolidate the band and write new songs from scratch and develop material brought from their respective homes.

From there, the process of writing songs continued, dismantling arrangements and recordings continued periodically until early 2024 in various studios in Jakarta.

Most of the lyrics written by Iga include various dark events that have occurred recently. As in the Fatalis', it is said that there is widespread disinformation that has caused many victims of the pandemic to fall. In addition, Languang' contains Bara Suara's response to the mass killings carried out by Israel against Palestine.

The songs on this album tell a lot about death in diverse perceptions. Some celebrate, some are cynical, some are apathy, some are contemplative. Then there is also a song that tells about the return of a sense of true love. Broadly speaking, there are many themes related to the process of life, being born and carrying it out, "said Iga.

Furthermore, the writing of a song that is varied is new to Barasuara, which shows mutual trust between personnel who have been built for more than a decade.

"This is the most collective album in the work, because we both trust each other and know each other's colors," concluded Gerald Situmorang.
