Exclusive Ashira Zamita, Enjoying The Role Of Singer And Songwriter

JAKARTA - Starting a journey in the entertainment industry as an actress and child singer, Ashira Zamita has consistently been in the world of music and act for the past six years. Especially for her career in the music world, the 22-year-old virgin has released two singles this year, 'The Mighty' and 'King and Queen'.

Based on the story obtained from his parents, Ashira said that he began to show his interest and talent in music since the age of two. His parents supported him, Ashira started to take the competition and underwent several music courses.

"Because I'm the child, I'm happy to perform. Since I was little I talked to my parents to take part in the competition. Coincidentally, this desire was supported by my parents, I also took lessons on singing and musical instruments," said Ashira Zamita during a visit to the VOI office in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta recently.

Ashira participated in various competitions and the results were recognized quite well. No less than a hundred trophies, ranging from the first place champion to the winner of hope, he received from the competition. In fact, he also participated in the poetry writing competition, which was referred to as the beginning of his interest in writing songs.

The two songs mentioned above are the result of Ashira's own creation, of course with the help of several musicians in her cultivation. The 'Perkasa' which he first released earlier this year was called one of the songs that marked his rebranding process as a singer.

"Because I feel that nowadays musicians can have a lot of personality, and I think it's okay for us to rebrand. Incidentally, in this song Si Perkasa, it can be said that the first sheet I wrote in the style I wanted," said Ashira.

"In terms of music, I said that my genre is DTT, In the Middle, so I said yes, I'm just Ashira's genre. Because as a person I feel really in the middle, I'm not too left and I'm not too right. So Si Perkasa can quite explain how the DDT reads," he continued.

'The Perkasa' for Ashira has opened the door to something new. By relying on the power of the lyrics, this song contains unusual dictions and some metaphors, but it's still easy for listeners to understand.

"Many producers have worked with me, they said that if I wrote Indonesian, I had several dictions and maybe submissions that could be said to be not very literal, so there are still fairly literary illustrations and languages, but people still understand," said the 22-year-old entertainment.

Summarizing From The Beginning

This song is also a new experience for Ashira as a songwriter, because she played an active role from the beginning of song writing until finally being played to the public.

"This is what might be fun from music, I don't know because I haven't met you in acting, because I can really build from scratch, I can bring my feelings into tones and lyrics," said Ashira.

"At that time I had a chance to vent, actually it's about masculinity, why do men rarely show their emotions. Luckily when they were finished, listeners said that there was quite a lot of interpretation, so it was universal, it could make your partner, family, and yourself too," he continued.

If 'The Perkasa' is a song aimed at strengthening by presenting a side of feminism, then the 'King and Queen' will be the opposite, by displaying the side of a woman who easily falls in love.

"This song is based on my personal story in 2018, when I met a man, I only had five minutes to talk, it was like 'I fell in love with you'," said Ashira.

"If Si Perkasa might be suitable for people who are tired of living. But the King and Queen make girls who like to halu. I still want to present that, I want to romanticize the children now who are easy to fall in love," he added.

Writing songs from stories experienced by yourself is also important for Ashira. Previously, the style of writing songs was based on the experiences felt by many people, this time Ashira wanted to write songs that tell herself.

"Maybe because of my inspiration Taylor Swift, NIKI, Tori Kelly and Olivia Rodrigo, they wrote personal songs. So I'm okay, I also want people to know about my love life, about what I feel without me having to tell me," he said.

"Because of the fact that there are so many children my age who feel they want to have friends. So, we share that joy and sorrow through a song that acuments."

For Ashira, the highest achievement as a musician is when listeners share messages and express their emotions through songs. He wants to be known as a singer and songwriter who can have a good impact on many people.

"Actually, this is a huge cheat, but I always say that the highest point I work in music or acting, I want to be able to create a good impact for people. And I want to be a representation for people," concluded Ashira Zamita.
