Kahitna Inspired By Earth, Wind & Fire During Aransemen 'As Far As Two Worlds'

JAKARTA - Kahitna re-released a single titled Sejak Dua Dunia, a song created by Yovie Widianto which was released as the single duo of Arsy Widianto and Brisia Jodie in 2020.

Yovie Widianto said the rearrangement of As Far as the Two Worlds' became more lively than the previous version. He included a brass section inspired by the works of Earth, Wind & Fire.

"In this song there is a touch of brass section, rhythm section, and we bring a touch of brass that is inspired by Earth, Wind & Fire, and made more lively," said Yovie Widianto during a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta, Monday, April 22.

The 56-year-old keyboardist said Kahitna personnel, who started music since the 1980s, were inspired by bands that used a lot of brass, such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang, to Chicago.

At the end of the song Sejauh Dua Dunia memang terdapat aransemen brass yang menyenangkan, dengan melolosi yang tenang dan sinkopasi yang menhentak, serupa dengan lagu In The Stone dari Earth, Wind & Fire.

The more lively Aramsemen, said Yovie, made the song As Far As the Two Worlds deemed suitable to be played at a music festival with thousands of spectators.

"It feels like this song is suitable to be performed at music festivals later," said Yovie.

Meanwhile, As far as the Two Worlds' from Kahitna is also a year anniversary of Carlo Saba's death. The vocalist even participated in the recording session before he died, and his figure was presented in the music video.
