4 Years On, Brave Girls 'Rollin' Topped Korean Music Charts

JAKARTA - Recently, the K-pop group Brave Girls has become a topic of conversation on the internet. Their song, Rollin ', which was released in 2017 took first place on the South Korean music charts.

The song Rollin 'began to rank first on Bugs on February 27th. Monday, March 1, they were recorded to get first place on the Bugs music chart, No. 3 on Genie, 29 in FLO, and number 90 on Melon 24Hits.

This achievement is coupled with their success in getting rid of IU's Perfect All-Kill status with her newest song, Celebrity, and SHINee with Don't Call Me.

Brave Girls is a second generation K-pop group that debuted in 2011. They are under Brave Brothers and made their debut with the song The Difference.

Compared to other girl groups of the second generation, Brave Girls is not very popular commercially. However, they have a solid fan group.

In 2012, when they released their album Re-Issue, their main track Nowadays topped the music charts and their comeback became one of the most searched for topics.

However, Brave Girls has not succeeded in getting the attention of the Korean public. Especially since 2011, Brave Girls has experienced various member change processes. In fact, they had been on hiatus for two years.

The song Rollin 'is known among soldiers who are carrying out military service. Viditor also uploaded the second part and the video has been watched by more than one million.

This is the reason why the Rollin 'song began to be popular with the public. Not a few netizens have praised this song. However, due to lack of promotion from the public agency, they did not know that this song was already four years old.

The virality of this old song is not only experienced by Brave Girls. Previously, the song Up and Down from the EXID group went viral thanks to a fancam, which is a video recorded by fans featuring EXID's Hani dancing Up and Down.

The fancam video was watched 33 million times and the name EXID became popular until they were known for their next songs. Although this song has been released since four years ago, Brave Girls are only getting their commercial success now.

When seeing Rollin's song on the music charts, the Brave Girls members did not believe it and wrote their gratitude to fans.

While conducting an interview with tvX, the Brave Girls members shared their opinions. All of this happened so suddenly that they didn't know how to respond.

“We still don't believe it? We? Suddenly? Like that. I love imagining what it would be like to have a number one hit song. But now our song has suddenly returned to the music charts and we reached number one, "said Yujeong, quoted from Soompi.

"This song has been four years (released) but many people showed their love until we sat at number one Bugs and Melon 24Hits," said Eunji.

“Rollin 'is a song that all the members like and always regret that this song didn't get a good appreciation so we were happy more than what we expressed because people started to find out, no matter how late it was,” said Yuna.

They also thanked the first party who uploaded the Rollin 'video. They even expressed their desire to perform Rollin '.
