Celebrating Ramadan, Ungu Presents A New Single Titled 'God Knows'

JAKARTA - Agree after the release of your Good and Bad single, Ungu has launched a new single titled God Almighty. These two songs will be material from the extended play (EP) or mini album titled Baik dan Badammu Tuhan Yang Tahu, which was released in order to welcome the holy month of Ramadan.

The band, which is fronted by Pasha (vocals), Enda (guitar), Oncy (guitar), Makki (bass), and Rowman (drums) has a unique way of working on their EP. Not only are the titles related to each other, but the two songs have the same lyrics.

"Actually, it's one song lyrics that we make into two different songs. Not an arrangement, yes, because the notation changed," said Enda during a press conference at Trinity Optima Production Office, South Jakarta on Thursday, March 7.

Initially, Enda and Oncy were writing their song Baik dan Badammu which was made at a slow tempo. However, they had difficulty finding the chorus part of the song.

Then, the initiative emerged to make the song a faster tempo. The chorus part of the song was also found. After the faster version was played to other personnel, Pasha managed to find the slow tempo version of the chorus.

Finally, this slow listening was played. And there is Pasha here who is an expert in the field of voice administration. Pasha came and was complete. He is more skilled at processing the tone and we meet the slow chorus," said Enda.

"We released two, everything really changed, with a different song. Even our goal is that people don't realize the lyrics are the same," he continued.

Meanwhile, the lyrics of the two fi songs tell the story of the current human condition which is easy to judge others.

One human is very easy to judge another human being. That's the basic idea for me and Oncy to write 'Good and Bad'. There we tell more clearly that you are good and bad, only God knows, no human knows," said Enda.

Through these two songs, Ungu hopes to accompany people to fasting in the holy month of Ramadan solemnly.

"We have no intention of intimidation, but we want to share about the core message of our two newest songs, each of which we have also experienced this," concluded Enda Ungu.
