Can't Stand To See The Audience Sitting, Ed Sheeran Asks Everyone To Stand Up

JAKARTA - Tens of thousands of people attended Ed Sheeran's concert which was held at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on the evening of Saturday, March 2. They got a predetermined seat, both in the stands and benches arranged on the field.

Ed Sheeran appeared to stop from the start. He opened the concert with Tides, BLOW, and I'm a Mess.

After performing three songs, Ed Sheeran expressed his pleasure to return to Jakarta since the last concert in 2019.

"Hello Jakarta. I am very enthusiastic at this time. Thank you for coming," said Ed Sheeran after the opening repertoar.

Before performing their fourth song, Shiprs, Ed Sheeran, who saw the audience just sat on their respective benches, then asked them to stand up and enjoy the show.

"Thank you for coming all the way. Maybe you came here by car or train, so now is the time for you to stand up. Let's get up, let's enjoy this show," he said.

The singer and songwriter from England appeared for more than two hours with 27 repertoires. He performed his best songs such as Shape of You, Perfect, Photograph, and Thinking Out Loud.

On this occasion, Ed Sheeran also performed his song with Justin Bieber and Benjamin Levin, Love Yourself.

On several occasions, especially when he was about to perform an upbeat song, Ed Sheeran again asked the audience to get back up from their seats.

The 33-year-old singer also appeared on a special stage that could rotate 360 degrees. With the stage concept, he can look at all corners of the stadium filled with spectators. In addition, various attractions and visuals from the screening fan lighting make his appearance even more colorful.

At the end of his performance, Ed Sheeran performed a song from album = (2021), Bad Habits. Having stopped because of playing the wrong guitar, he continued his appearance until it ended like there was no problem whatsoever.
