Aruma 'Growing' By Launching First EP

JAKARTA - Aruma released an extended play (EP) or a mini album with the title Growing. This album is his first, after previously releasing three singles, namely Muak, Expectations, and Disappearing again.

This mini album is a complement to the beginning of Aruma's career, which also won an award in the Best Newcomer Singer category at the 2023 Indonesian Music Award (AMI) November 2023.

"Growing is actually an expression that is very personal for me and inspired by the process of growing a flower, from small to large seeds and hoping to bloom well if we continue to care for it," said Aruma in his statement, Friday, February 23.

"So do I feel for my first EP. What I have achieved until now is a process for me to grow, starting from joining the label, releasing the first single, learning many things in the music world, until finally releasing this EP," he continued.

In addition to the three singles that were released earlier, Bertumbuh presents two new songs, namely Rindu Falls and Stay for a moment.

The process of cultivating it itself is quite fast because selected songs are already released, while the rest are taken from Aruma's song savings.

These five songs will describe the bitterness of life, especially in love. Image something far from ideal life. Even so, all the songs I wrapped and performed in graceful and sweet tones," said the singer with Nidewi Aruman's full name.

This certainly poses a challenge for me, which is how that all songs can flow into a meaning that can stand alone, but also if you look at it in an outline, it has a common thread.

The release of the growing EP, divides into something big in Aruma's musical career which has not even been two years. He admitted that he was nervous but did not cover up his pride for the achievements achieved so far.

"Obviously, I'm nervous, but also happy. EP is the first big step in the process I'm growing up to be a musician. Hopefully, the release of this mini album can be a good start for my musical journey in the future. And, I hope, can promote songs in this EP to various cities," he said.

I hope that this EP can reach many people and my songs become part of the journey of your life. Hopefully the five songs that I performed in Berbung can accompany all of my friends in various processes of life. Happy or sad, we will get through this together," he concluded.
