JAKARTA - Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor canceled his upcoming appearance in Manila and Japan for his solo tour in Asia.

Taylor is scheduled to start his Asian tour with two shows at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo, Japan scheduled for March 25-26, and will continue with a performance at Zepp Osaka Bayside on March 28.

The halt to the much-awaited Philippine tour of fans is scheduled to take place on April 1, at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta City.

The news of the cancellation was announced by concert promoter Insignia Presents, where an official statement from Taylor was released.

"To my fans in Japan and the Philippines, after much consideration, I decided to cancel the upcoming show on April 25, 26, and 1. I apologize profusely to everyone affected, whoever buys tickets will receive information on the refund in the coming days," he said.

"This is not a decision I made easily, [because] I have never canceled a show until now. But I prioritize myself in the near future, so I can come back stronger," the vocalist continued.

It also follows the recent cancellation of its tour in North America, where Taylor canceled the show due to mental and physical health disorders over the past few months.

The rock icon also made a similar statement at the announcement of the cancellation of the tour, stressing, "I know this decision will surprise some people and may be considered unpopular by others but after observing where I am and where I am going, I have to calm down and stay at home with my family for now."

The upcoming tour should be to support Taylor's latest album, CMF2, which marks the full album of both as a solo artist. The album contains thirteen songs released on September 15, 2023, and contains hit singles Beyond, Post-Traumatic Blues, and We Are The Rest.
