This Is The Figure Behind Bob Marley's Fame

JAKARTA - Bob Marley and Rita's son, Ziggy spoke about how his father was able to achieve music success in the international arena.

According to Ziggy, there was a big role his mother played in Bob Marley's musical career, even after his death on May 11, 1981 until now. My mother is the backbone of everything. Without him, none of this would have happened. My father's career will not be like it is today," Ziggy said, launching People on Monday, February 5.

They really complement each other that way. You need someone like that by your side. You can't do it alone. You can never do it alone.

Ziggy told how his parents were united from absence. He said Bob and Rita's relationship had built something that exceeded their physical ties.

They have more than just a physical connection. They have a spiritual relationship, and that's the deepest relationship you can have," said Ziggy.

Meanwhile, Rita, who is a singer and songwriter, met Bob when he was 17 years old, while Bob was 19 years old. Then, they got married in 1966. Rita Nuga appears with her husband as a reserve singer, and they have three children together, namely Cedella, Ziggy, and Stefanus.

Even though Bob had an affair with another woman who produced seven children, Rita was not even affected. In fact, Rita once told People in 1984 that she believed herself to be someone who was always special to Bob Marley.

I love Bob more because he left this legacy to me. I've never interfered in other women's affairs. I've always been a very special person for him. When God brings you together, you stay together, whatever happens."

Most recently, Rita also took part in helping preserve Bob Marley's legacy in the form of a film. He is the producer for Bob Marley: One Love which will air on February 14.
