To Pitchfork, publicist Kathryn Frazier confirmed that Daft Punk broke up without mentioning the reason. This news shocked the listeners considering that the two of them never received negative attention.

Daft Punk consists of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The duo was founded in 1993 in Paris and released their iconic debut album, Homework four years later.
