Ndhank Claims To Be Pushed By Fellow Musicians For Somasi Andre Taulany And Stinky

JAKARTA - Ndhank Surahman Hartono is in the new spotlight in the music world of Indonesia, because he sent a subpoena to his former band and Andre Taulany. He asked that the two parties no longer sing his songs.

The former Stinky guitarist admitted that he sent a subpoena because there was no good response from Andre Taulany when he wanted to discuss direct license related to song royalties, especially for the song Ibuhan, which became Stinky's hit.

Before I uploaded it, I had WA (Whatsapp), contacted Andre, but there was no response at all. My goal is to discuss direct license for (royalti) performing rights," said Ndhank in Cinere, Depok, Tuesday, January 2.

Ndhank admitted that for a long time Andre Taulany had not spoken when he performed the song Maybe on the music stage.

He admitted that he did not bother when the song he wrote was sung by Andre Taulany, until finally some of his fellow musicians encouraged him to ban.

"Actually, I don't mind this, some of my musician friends have encouraged me to dare to prohibit it, because there is my right, there is intellectual rights, where it is attached, where I am the owner of the song," he said.

Ndhank admitted that there was no other way for him than to prohibit, after his request for direct license was ignored.

"The point point is, maybe it should be more like a permit first, because there are already applicable rules. Many friends write songs that start speaking up because so far the rules have not been too mature," said Ndhank.

"Only now and now, musicians who write songs can speak up, because now it's the period of brewing the regulation. We dare because it should have been applied to performance rights, direct licenses," he said.
