JAKARTA - Agnes Monica alias Agnez Mo is prohibited from performing five songs written by Ari Bias. This was revealed by the songwriter himself.

Ari said his request for direct license related to song royalties was ignored, so there was no other way but to prohibit Agnez Mo from performing his songs.

"So, I apply direct license for my songs. If you don't agree with this direct license, my songs don't be performed," said Ari Bias in Gambir, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 28.

Ari once wrote five songs for Agnez. The songs are contained in the albums And the Story Goes (2003) and Whaddup A.?! (2005).

Meanwhile, the five song titles in question are "Just Say it", and "Can't" be from the album And the Story Goes, as well as Ku Here, Not My Friend anymore, and Not Here From the album Whaddup A..?!."

"I made the songs on the first and second albums, there were five songs. There were two hits, and there was one song at that time that was also a hit because it was used as a soundtrack for soap operas," said Ari.

Furthermore, Ari admitted that he had tried to communicate with the management of Agnez Mo, but there was no positive response.

There was communication with the manager, and I was also assisted by mediation with Ahmad Dhani, to encourage my direct license to be welcomed positively and implemented. Well, it turns out that they didn't get a positive response either. They said 'later yes, yes'. Finally, because I didn't get a positive response, it means I forbade it," concluded Ari Bias.
