JAKARTA - The largest jazz music festival in Indonesia, the Java Jazz Festival has announced the first line-up to fill its 19th edition on May 24-26, 2024.

Through an official Instagram account on Monday, December 18, the Java Jazz Festival announced six performers in the first line-up. One of them and the most anticipated is Laufey.

"Don't wait anymore, because the first #JJF2024 line-up is here! There's something for everyone, so be prepared to dance & sing together about diversity and unity at the Java Jazz Festival 2024," wrote the account @javajazzfest.

"Yes, we heard you! Laufey is back for #JJF2024. Get up to his spectacular performances and uniquely curated arrangements in the big settings," he continued.

Different from the previous year, Laufey's appearance will be included in a special show. This means that the jazz soloist's appearance will be even more interesting. Not to mention, he just released the album Bewitched last September.

Meanwhile, Laufey, who was present at the Java Jazz Festival 2023, said that his appearance at that time was a concert with the highest number of spectators ever held.

"Honestly, this is my show with the most spectators," Laufey said.

"I was shaking up here when I saw everyone. Thank you for coming tonight in Jakarta," he continued.

Apart from Laufey, the five other performers who have also been announced are Yussef Days, Rai Thistlethwayte, Yakul, October London, and Scatter The Atoms That Remain.
