Due To COVID-19, Babymetal Postpones Asian Tour

JAKARTA - The Babymetal concert which was planned to be held at the Senayan Basketball Hall Jakarta on March 29 was postponed indefinitely. This announcement was made by the promoter of Nada Promotama through her Instagram account.

"We regret to announce that BABYMETAL METAL GALAXY TOUR in Asia has been postponed due to health and tourism conditions caused by the corona virus (COVID-19), including performances in Jakarta."

The promoter also apologized and understood to the audience who had bought tickets. Currently, the promoter is coordinating with Babymetal regarding the new date. For viewers who don't want to make a refund, tickets will be valid for the next show. On the other hand, those who want a refund can contact the Traveloka website as the ticket provider.

Babymetal also confirmed this news via the official Instagram @babymetal_official. Not a few fans were disappointed, but there were also those who were grateful because this announcement was only postponed, which means that there is a high probability that the concert can continue.

Apart from Indonesia, there are three other countries that have also been affected by the corona virus, namely Bangkok on March 22, Kuala Lumpur on March 27, and Taipei on April 3. Babymetal first came to Indonesia seven years ago at the 2013 Asia Festival Asia Indonesia (AFAID).

Babymetal is a Japanese vocal group formed in 2010. They became a Japanese girl group that won the Oricon chart and entered the Billboard 200 chart. The Galaxy Metal Tour was carried out in order to promote the last album of the same name.

Previously, the provincial government stated that there might be additional concert events being postponed from March to April. This happened as a form of prevention of the corona virus which is usually transmitted in public activities. Apart from music programs, the DKI Provincial Government has also banned filming of films, competitions, bazaars, camps until an undetermined time.
