After 5 Years, Calvin Jeremy Finally Comes With A New Song Titled Home

JAKARTA - Busy with several film projects in recent years, finally Calvin Jeremy returns to music by releasing a new single titled Pulang on December 8 last week.

In accordance with the title of the song, this release indicates Calvin Jeremy's return to the world that raised his name in the entertainment world in the country.

Although it was only released at the end of the year, Calvin Jeremy has wanted a new song since the beginning of this year.

"The peak was in May, when I first met Hezky Jo (producer and arranger). In the middle of an unconscious meeting I said, 'Guaue misses Home', and at that moment I realized that music had been my home, and it was time to come back," said Calvin Jeremy in a written statement, Tuesday, December 12.

Meanwhile, the process of working on the song until it was released took three months. It took quite some time, but Calvin Jeremy has his own considerations.

"It's a bit long because spending this single is something that feels like it's the first time I've released a work. Judging from the positive side, it's a new chapter, a fresh start, and build another relationship with listeners," he said.

Calvin admitted that he enjoyed the Pulang cultivation process which he called a new experience. He and Hezky Jo never thought about what the outcome would be, they chose to compose songs by flowing and trusting the creativity given by the Almighty.

Likewise, when it was released, Calvin was sure that his new song this time already had listeners who had already been outlined.

At the same time, Calvin Jeremy hopes that a positive response from listeners will make him return with an album in the coming year.

"Hopefully this single Pulang will be a process of manifesting for EP or album, and when the single comes home, everyone can listen to it, we will see the response. A positive response will certainly be affirmation, and hopefully it can be realized in 2024," said Calvin Jeremy.
