JAKARTA - Billie Eilish said the song What Was I Made For was one of the best vocals I had ever given.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Eilish opened up about the song-making she wrote for Barbie's soundtrack.

Eilish said she had the right vision of what kind of voice I wanted, and I got it there.

He described his goal for whispering vocals and broken heart by saying that singing in a braided style or mixed voice doesn't match the song.

"I feel very proud," he continued. "To be honest, I feel this is one of the best vocal performances I've ever given."

However, Finneas' brother and producer said Eilish was 'rough' to herself in order to produce the best on the song.

"He came home that night, came back the next day and said 'I need to re-record this line, this row, and this row,' recalls Finneas.

Meanwhile Eilish added that when she started recording she had one way of singing.

"And that's how I sing. Now I have all these choices, and I can play with my instruments. It's really amazing and fun, but it's definitely difficult," he said.

What Was I Made For was recently nominated for the Golden Globe in the Best Original Song - Motion Picture category.

In NME's three-star review for Barbie's soundtrack, Eilish was highlighted as featuring one of the best vocals on the album.

His sincereness is never seen to be fabricated considering how much of his personal life goes into his lyrics: Think I forgot how to be happy/ something Im not, but something I can be.

Vokal Eilish is even more whispering than usual, as if this is Barbie's deepest and darkest secret thanks to his subtle arrangement, it worked.
