JAKARTA - Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has closed rumors that the Iowa metal band has found a new drummer.

Earlier this month, November 5, Slipknot surprised fans by announcing the departure of his old drummer, Jay Weinberg who has joined the metal group since 2014.

In an official statement on social media, the band that once held a concert in Indonesia said it was "intending to thrive", and had made a creative decision that Weinberg would leave the band.

Shortly after Weinberg's departure, fans began to speculate about who would be his replacement drummer. One of the drummers who has been at the forefront of rumors so far is Jeramie Kling, former drummer Venom Inc.

In a Kling post that was immediately deleted on Instagram following Weinberg's announcement of Weinberg's departure, he wrote: 'Playing drums is just a matter of time. Bring it to you. Invite chaos.' He also shared a Slipknot-style logo graphics.

Last week, Kling posted a photo of a new snare drum, with the hashtag #im666, referring to Slipknot's Heretic Anthem lyrics, "if you're 555 / then I'm 666".

Now, Corey Taylor is using X (formerly Twitter) to come up to end Kling's ridicule, writing: To everyone who is wondering about our new drummer... It's not him. Let him go. He's not even on the list.

Taylor's confirmation came with a firm conclusion in response to Kling's 666 hashtag, in which the Slipknot frontman wrote she's not 666.
