Presenting Interpol, Joyland Festival Jakarta 2023 Prepares Direct Equipment From Singapore

JAKARTA - Ferry Dermawan, co-founder of Plainsong Live as promoter of the 2023 Joyland Festival Jakarta, revealed one of the difficulties when presenting performers from abroad.

Meanwhile, several foreign performers presented include Interpol, d4vd, Fleet Foxes, Bloc Party, Last Dinosaurs, Kamaal Williams, Alvvays and Mew.

Ferry Dermawan said there were no special riders who made the promoters bring them in. However, specifically for Interpol, there are several technical matters that must be met.

The request from Interpol made Plainsong Live have to bring some equipment from Singapore. The reason is, there is a specific request regarding tools that are not in Indonesia.

"There is no strange request. For Interpol, it's more of a technical request. There is no need for equipment in Indonesia, we take it from Singapore," said Ferry in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday, November 20.

"It's more about the need for a stage, like there are no mixers in Indonesia, certain brands and types that are not in Indonesia. Yes, we are looking for them from abroad. That's for Interpol," he continued.

Ferry Dermawan himself admitted that he was most looking forward to Interpol's performance. He believes the rock band from the United States will provide a memorable experience for the audience.

"For me, Interpol is also (the most awaited)," he said.

For information, the 2023 Jakarta Joyland Festival will take place at the Baseball Stadium, Senayan, Central Jakarta on November 24-26, this weekend.

Interpol is scheduled to appear as a closing on the Joyland Stage on Sunday, November 26 at 23.25 WIB.
