Riders Are Not Fulfilled, Iwan Fals Is Canceled From Appearing At The Music Room Festival

JAKARTA - Iwan Fals certainly canceled his appearance at the Music Room Festival which will be held in Pontianak, West Kalimantan tomorrow Wednesday.

The news was announced by Iwan Fals himself through a statement uploaded on his Instagram Story.

Through this announcement, Tiga Rambu as Management Iwan Fals informed that Iwan Fals & Band's performance at the Music Room Festival in Pontianak on October 25, 2023 was officially canceled," reads a statement uploaded by Iwan Fals, Tuesday, October 24.

"We have decided this cancellation based on legal provisions, existing cooperation contracts (as well as contract attachments in the form of Artist Riders Iwan Fals) and also the stages of deliberation that we have carried out with the organizers," he continued.

In the uploaded statement, it was stated that the Music Room Festival, which was originally planned to be held on July 29, had to be postponed for up to three months.

Meanwhile, the cause of the cancellation was due to the failure of the riders and the lack of communication between the organizers and Iwan Fals.

"Because the same reason at the time of this event was declared backward, namely the failure of some of the production needs listed on our Artist Riders, as well as the lack of communication between the Organizers to us regarding the technicality of the event," the statement read.

"Hopefully this announcement brings clarity to ticket buyers as well as other parties involved that Iwan Fals & Band's absence from the event is something we have tried to adhere to the provisions that we have agreed with the Organizers so that the performances carried out are in accordance with the expectations of all parties," he said.
