Maudy Ayunda: Idealism And Authentication Are Important In Work

JAKARTA - Having a career in the music world from a young age, Maudy Ayunda had a chance to experience a moment where she couldn't be herself when she sang.

Feeling unable to find space to explore, Maudy Ayunda chose to focus on undergoing her studies in the UK and the United States.

"I felt that at that time I wanted to have space, I wanted to have areas that might be fresh (fresh) and new (new), and I could be myself," said Maudy Ayunda, launching the YouTube channel CURHAT BANG Denny Sumargo, Thursday, October 19.

At that time, Maudy Ayunda felt that the music industry did not give her much space to perform her songs. He felt that his experience was also experienced by many other singers.

"And that seems, actually it's a problem experienced by many artists starting from childhood," said Maudy Ayunda.

"Because we definitely have to follow the manager or label or management, so it's like we can't be creative ourselves," he continued.

After experiencing this experience, Maudy Ayunda increasingly believes that it is important for a musician to show himself is different from other musicians.

"Now, why did I say great learning, now when I return from master's degree and return to the creative industry, my approach is also different, I feel more mature and understand that idealism or authenticity is also important and worth fighting for," he said.

Despite having a bad experience as a singer and actress as a teenager, Maudy Ayunda now feels a difference. He has had a much more fun career in the entertainment industry.

"Now it's much healthier. I now much more happy to do my work. What used to be I can't be myself (I can't be myself). But I'm the attitude, because I'm introverted, I'm just depressed in the end. So it's not good inside here, it's not good to be internal. In the past, it was like running to a book or school. I felt that school or academic is my space, "concluded Maudy Ayunda.
