JAKARTA - The Koes Plus extended family represented by Damon Koeswoyo, David Koeswoyo, Rico Koeswoyo and Sari Koeswoyo confirmed the prohibition for the band T Koes to perform songs from Koes Plus and the extended family.

Singgih Toni Gumilang as the attorney stated that the main reason for the ban was taken was the video uploaded by Agusta Dwi Susanto Marzall, a T'Koes personnel.

It is said that the video has offended the extended family of Koes Plus, especially the children of the Koes Plus personnel.

"The trigger for our client's decision is because there has been a sense of offense over the circulation of a video of a conversation between someone suspected of being a retired member with the T'Koes Band," said Singgih Toni Gumilang during a press conference in Gandaria, South Jakarta on Thursday, September 28.

The behavior of T'Koes personnel who are considered to feel bigger and more famous than the extended family of Koes Plus, is seen as injuring the dignity of the extended family of Koes Plus.

"On the way of the T'Koes Band, since its birth in 2007, the Koes Plus extended family has felt uncomfortable with some things involving uploads and actions of the T'Koes Band, where in this case it is considered very offensive to the dignity and dignity of the Koes Plus extended family," said Singgih.

The attorney also emphasized that royalties were not the main reason for the ban on TKoes. Everything was decided in order to maintain the dignity and dignity of Koes Plus.

Previously, Agusta Dwi Susanto Marzali, the frontman of the band T'Koes, which is a tribute band Koes Plus, had predicted that the video he uploaded on Facebook was the reason for the ban.

In the video, Agusta is talking with members of the TNI who will retire. He said the video, which lasted almost two minutes, was just a casual video chat with a person he called a senior.

However, the video had mentioned the name Koes Plus by the retired TNI. Agusta himself did not really understand what his senior was referring to.

"It was a casual conversation between senior TNI officials and their juniors, we as T'Koes personnel. At that time he motivated us to work hard to the maximum. So, when he spoke, we paid attention and wanted to learn," said Agusta.

After a long silence, he spontaneously said 'But don't be like Koes Plus. The kids are like an asset'. In the video, we don't really clear what he said. However, we as juniors respect seniors talking, "he continued.

Agusta also explained that his response to retired TNI was a tribute to the interlocutor. He said there was no intention to demean Koes Plus.

"We say the word 'Yes' because we as juniors are listening to our seniors. T'Koes continues to learn to be entertaining. We performed songs that were not only by Koes Plus, but there were songs from other bands," concluded Agusta Dwi Susanto Marzali.
