JAKARTA - John 5 will appear on the upcoming rock album from country legend Dolly Parton.

The Motley Crue guitarist shared news about his participation in a tweet on Twitter on Tuesday.

He shared his old photo with Dolly and he wrote: "I am very honored that I got the opportunity to play guitar on one of the songs on the upcoming @DollyParton album. I have listened to Dolly's music since I was able to remember. Words cannot describe how interesting this is."

John 5's appearance on the Parton album comes less than a month after his bandmate at Motley Crue, Nikki Sixx also confirmed that she would contribute to the album by playing bass on one song.

Parton recently said he was making a rock album to celebrate his inauguration at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

"I also made an album, because I had to fulfill all those hype," he said last December on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon".

"I'm very honored and very proud, and I'm good at managing time, so I always thought I might want to make rock recordings, because my husband is a rock and roll fan. So, however, I thought, 'OK, if I'm going to do it, now's the time," he added.

For the time being, entitled Rock Star, this album will include classic rock songs such as Prince's Purple Rain, Can't Get No Satisfaction from The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven, and Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird.
