After A Heart Attack, Former Iron Maiden Blahe Bayley Vocalist Will Undergo Bypass Operations

JAKARTA - Former Iron Maiden vocalist,late Bayley will undergo triple bypass surgery after a recent heart attack.

Cardiac bypass surgery, orappropriation oftegery bypass (CABG), is used to increase blood flow to the heart.

A surgeon uses blood vessels taken from other areas of the body to pass through damaged arteries.

The term triple bypass refers to the amount oftegery passed in its procedure. In other words, triple bypass means that threetories are bypassed.

Blathe suffered a heart attack at his home on Saturday, March 25 and was rushed to hospital. Due to his declining health condition, his concert for March and April was postponed.

The 59-year-old vocalist joined Iron Maiden from 1994 to 1999 and produced the albums The X Factor and Virtual XI. However, the sales figures of these two albums are lower than the previous Iron Maiden releases.

Since leaving Iron Maiden, Blahe has released a number of albums, including some under the monikerlate and more than a handful under his own name. He also appeared on Wolfsbane Saves The World (2012), the first album of Wolfsbane's new material since their self-titled effort released in 1994, and the full follow-up album Genius (2022).

Blathe's latest studio album, War Within Me, came out in April 2021. The album was recorded during 2020 with the division of work between the Blazen home studio in West Midlands and Christopher Appleton's studio at Greater Manchester.
