JAKARTA - Daft Punk released their first song, The Writing Of Fragments Of Time, from a luxurious version of their last album Random Access Memories which was republished for a 10-year anniversary.

The Writing Of Fragments Of Time captured the "intimate moment of creation" when Daft Punk composed the eleventh song by Random Access Memories, namely Fragments Of Time with old friends and collaborator Todd Edwards.

At the legendary Los Angeles Henson Recording Studios on February 29, 2012, a recording was played for a full session, capturing the entire creative journey behind the track creation and we heard some of them were creation moments between Thomas Bangalter and Todd Edwards in The Writing of Fragments of Time," according to an official press release.

The lyrics written that day come from the perspective of the future of collaborators who speculate how they will feel in the future as if remembering this particular creative moment thus creating a narrative of the nostalgia of the future.

"Listening to the lyrics ten years later along with the creative process behind it offers listeners feelings of mirror reflection in an infinite loop that provides an existential long-forward view as if creating a sonic time capsule.

The 10-year edition Random Access Memories features 35 minutes of combined outtake versions and unheard demos on nine songs. The album will be available in various formats including three black disks, two CDs, streaming platforms and in addition to the spatial audio mix (Atmos) from the original album will be available for the first time.

The album will be released on May 12.
