JAKARTA - Duran Duran is reportedly in the process of collaborating with former guitarist Andy Taylor for a new album.

Andy - who often played with bands between 1980 and 2001 - was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer stage 4 four years ago.

He was scheduled to reunite with Duran Duran last year when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

But his health condition worsened where medical treatment forced him to miss the opportunity.

Bassist John Taylor has now confirmed that the band is working with the guitarist again.

"When he failed to appear two days before the Hall of Fame, it was really shocking and very sad," he said through The Mirror.

We're working on an album now that will come out at the end of the year and he's playing guitar.

There are a lot of cover songs on this album, meaningful songs for us when we were kids. So making it part of the project was great.

"LeBon flew to Ibiza to work with Andy. I kind of wish I was there. I thought it would be great. It would be very deep for them. They have never been in a joint studio maybe in 10 to 20 years.
