JAKARTA - The rock winger band designated Seven as the title of their seventh studio album, which will temporarily be released this spring through Frontiers Music Srl.

On Friday last week, Winger shared Seven's cover artwork via social media and included the following message: "STAY TUNED!!! #Winger #WingerSeven".

Earlier in January, they recorded music videos for three songs from this album.

As for the previous two months, guitarist John Roth revealed the content of the material on the album Seven to interviewer Sam Wall.

"This (album) will be released by Frontiers [Music Srl] in May or June; we don't have a release date yet. [There are] 12 songs on the album. One song is a big enough surprise," he said.

"At least for me, there is always a song on Winger's album coming from the left," he explained. "Like in Karma, we made the blues song Kip [Winger, frontman Winger] and I co-wrote the song After All This Time," he continued.

In the title track Better Days Comin', said Roth, Winger tries to get out of his comfort zone by making a rather dramatic composition. This is certainly different from most heavier, darker, and metal-ish Winger songs.

"This album is carefully produced and recorded, [with] many vocal layers of background," he added. "Maybe it's heavier in lyric, maybe. All Winger albums have a heavier tone, because the guitar is tuned low; it's just more aggressive. And there's a bit of a progressive touch in one of the songs. But I think people will really enjoy this album. Hopefully it's well accepted."
