JAKARTA - David Lee Roth released the latest solo version of Van Halen's old song, Unchained.

Like other Van Halen songs released by David, including Everybody Wants Some!!, You Really Got Me, Dance The Night Away, Panama, and Ain't Talkin' Bout Love, Unchained's song was also recorded on May 3 last year at Henson Recording Studio in Hollywood, California.

Joining David in the studio was Al Estrada on guitar, Ryan Wheeler on bass and Francis Valentino on drums. A total of 14 songs were recorded in two hours.

According to an official statement received by VOI, music and vocals were recorded directly without samples and without auto-tune tone correction technology.

David's version of Unchained appeared seven months after he shared a previously unpublished solo recording, Nothing Could Have Stopped Us Back Then Anyway, where he reminisced about his days in Van Halen.

The song was recorded in 2007 alongside guitarist John 5 and drummer Gregg Bissonette for the never-released album.
