Drake Regrets Calling Ex-Girlfriend Name In Song

JAKARTA - Drake regrets having included his ex-girlfriend's names in the song.

In the debut episode of the FUTREMOOD podcast, A Moody Conversation, featuring Lil Yachty, the rapper revealed that he was reflecting on the use of his ex's name in his songs.

"Sometimes when I mention the names of the girls in the song, maybe those are two things I remember and I'm like, 'Maybe I can do it without the feeling of like... chatting at people because of age or disturbing someone's life," he said.

He went on to clarify: "The lyrics were never with bad intentions, but I once asked someone to tell me one time 'You know, it's not necessarily what you say about me, it's a fact that you say it'."

Drake further added that in a conversation with one of his ex-girlfriends about using their name in a song, he revealed that it had affected their personal lives.

The reason is, the formers seem to be brought back into Drake's life as they try to build life after breaking up with the rapper.

Drake concluded the topic by saying that since then he has tried his best to stop mentioning his ex-girlfriend's name in the song. However, he also likes to be honest in music.

"So, that's an impetus as well as a pull," he concluded.
