JAKARTA - While appearing in the latest episode of "The Jasta Show", a video podcast hosted by Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta, Glen Benton spoke about the long-awaited status of Deicing's new studio album.

"Yes, we signed a new contract with one of the record companies. I don't think I'm free to say anything, who it is; [they] will announce it soon," Glen opened.

"Yeah, man, we're working on the album, but we're stuck doing everything this 30% anniversary, and it's kind of delaying this recording. But, I'm in the process of writing the lyrics now."

"Regarding what he and his bandmates are looking for on the record contract," Glen said.

"We wanted an album contract, man, with a lot of money to work on it. And we got it... I think this makes people do a better job and promote it better. I think this will be a much better experience for us," Glen said.

"We've always agreed on a multi-album contract. And you also know like me, after the first recording, you're like, 'What have I done?' It was a draw between doing it like this and just doing it yourself. And Steve [Asheim, drummer Deicing] doesn't want tovert the envelope and stamp it. So that's why we took this route."

Meanwhile in August last year, Glen told "The Garza Podcast" that Deicen's new music is anthem-style.

"Very cool, man. There's a lot of prog stuff there, mixed there. Steve's our prog; he's a progressive rock guy. He likes to write really black riff metal and progressive things. He's a great talent. He plays piano. He can sweep on guitar. He's a drummer. Yes, he can do everything."
