The Habits Of Indonesian Audience Brings Vehicles Influence The Concert Dismissal Process

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Music Promotors (APMI) Dino Hamid said the chaos of access came out after the disbandment of the grand concert of the band Dewa 19 at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), North Jakarta, last Saturday was also influenced by the habit of spectators in Indonesia.

"Because our people are still used to vehicles, abroad people are used to walking five or even seven kilometers to reach the venue of a festival," Dino told Antara.

JIS parking capacity is indeed very limited when compared to the capacity of stadium spectators. Responding to this issue, the promoter has also prepared a number of parking bags, namely in the Ancol and Kemayoran areas.

The shuttle bus is also prepared to transport spectators from the parking bag area to the event venue.

However, congestion and difficulty access to exit after the concert disbandment still occurs for several hours.

Many of the audience also ignored warnings from the organizers regarding parking.

This is illustrated by the large number of recalcitrant spectators to park in the residential area around JIS, even filling the parking area of the Sulianti Saroso Infection Disease Hospital (RSPI) which is only a few meters from the concert location.

"But apart from all that, the important thing was yesterday's event was exciting, right, everyone was happy with Dewa's appearance 19, as a lesson in the future for all promoters," said Dino.

Previously, the legendary band concert titled People's Party 30 Years of Working on God 19 with around 70 thousand spectators was successfully held at the largest stadium in Southeast Asia, JIS. However, there was traffic chaos after the dispersal of the concert.

The complaints from the protest and complaints from the audience were busy on Twitter social media, with only one exit access, the audience was stuck in the concert area in a matter of hours because the motorbike, car, shuttle bus, and pedestrians collided into one on a narrow road.

Several points on the road in the residential area also have many reshuffle or repair projects.
