JAKARTA - The progressive rock song Unlock The Key belonging to singer Isyana Sarasvati was given a new breath at the Simphony for the Nation concert at the Jakarta Concert Hall, Jakarta, Saturday night. Isyana, who was once a student of the Avip Priatna conductor, said the invitation to collaborate with her teacher together with the Jakarta Concert Orchestra (JCO) was an honor.

Avip, who received the highest award from the Government of the Republic of Austria in the form of the Gold Medal of The Decoration of Honor in Gold for Services to the Republic of Austria for his active work in fostering cooperation and cultural exchange between Indonesia and Austria, said this concert was special for cooperating with Isyana, who diligently wrote musical compositions since childhood. Before collaborating with Isyana, the conductor was actually also interested in presenting the works of his former students.

"When I heard that Il Sogno and Unlock The Key I took a concert together to give a separate color that could make a contribution to the works of Indonesian children in different concepts," said Avip.

It's not easy to rearrange progressive rock songs into a classic style, but these challenges are faced and eventually produce a catchy show. The result was a song with new breaths and a beautiful taste.

Isyana performed the song Il Sogno while playing the piano, while Unlock The Key was sung with tenor singer Farman Purnama. In addition, the singer who had just held thesaiconcert concert also sang the song area of Ayo Mama with an orchestra.

"It is important to preserve the Indonesian anthem, as a young generation, I am happy to be able to echo the legendary repertoar again, but people rarely bring it," said Isyana about the regional songs she sang.

Avip hopes that the songs with new arrangements presented at the concert can make the audience more proud of Indonesia's rich culture.
