Jackson Wang Fiery In Cruel Song

JAKARTA - Jackson Wang released a new song titled Cruel. This song is one of the tracks that will be included in his latest album titled MAGIC MAN.

"'Cruel' is a very special song to me. It really gives direction to the narrative of this album," said Jackson Wang.

Sounds grunge, Cruel is a rock track that showcases Jackson Wang's voice. The message is still related to the single Blow, which is to try to break free and give up.

"We worked on many songs before this, but we struggled to find a clear direction. 'Cruel' was a manifestation of the environment and obstacles that we had to overcome at that time," explained Jackson Wang.

“Every time we felt like we were about to get it, something slipped past us and everything felt so far away. Once 'Cruel' materialized in our grasp, everything made sense, like a beautiful journey of mental breakdown,” he added.

The music video features Jackson Wang going through various obstacles to break free. The video is even more beautiful with Jackson's choreography.

Dark and exotic, Cruel's music video was directed by Rich Lee and involved Jackson in both music and video work.

“The grungy and crude 'Cruel' music is the perfect representation of the distorted and misleading story I'm trying to tell. This is a wild but beautiful symphonic work,” he added.

Jackson Wang released Blow and Cruel which was incorporated in the album MAGIC MAN under the releases of 88rising and Warner Records.

This album represents Jackson's journey through work under the law and confusion. Magic Man is Jackson's alter ego who explores his journey as a human.

The Cruel project became his latest solo work after being busy with promotional activities with the GOT7 group in South Korea. Jackson Wang has also scheduled the global release of MAGIC MAN on September 9th.
