JAKARTA - Japanese Suzuki announced a refresh on the GSX-8R and GSX-8S mid-class sport bikes, on April 15, 2026.

The most interesting news comes from the GSX-8R full-fairing sport variant which now appears more daring through the addition of the very striking Glass Blaze Orange color. This glowing orange color is scheduled to start greeting consumers on May 26, complementing other elegant color choices such as Triton Blue Metallic, Pearl Tech White, and Matte Black Metallic which have already been popular.

With a price tag of around 1,243,000 yen (equivalent to Rp133 million), the GSX-8R not only sells looks, but also practicality for riders who want sport performance but are still comfortable for daily use.

Not to be outdone, the street bike-style brother, the GSX-8S, also gets a more aggressive color refresh to strengthen its naked bike character. Suzuki presents three new color combinations, namely Glass Sparkle Black combined with Triton Blue Metallic, Candy Darling Red contrasting with Matte Black, and a mysterious full black option. In addition to visual changes, the GSX-8S now gets updates on the turn signal and other technical specifications.

Both of these motorcycles are scheduled to be available gradually starting from mid-April 2026, with the GSX-8S price pegged at a more affordable figure of 1,166,000 yen (equivalent to Rp125 million)

Behind its new look, Suzuki also embeds functional updates that follow the latest technology standards. Both the GSX-8R and GSX-8S now meet the requirements for monitoring vehicle failure diagnosis devices or OBD-II, and already support the use of more environmentally friendly E10 fuel.

In terms of performance, their flagship 775cc two-cylinder engine is still maintained with the revolutionary Suzuki Cross Balancer technology. This technology uses two balancing shafts that are uniquely placed to dampen vibrations as much as possible, so the motorcycle feels light, compact, and very smooth when driven in the middle of a city jam or when driven on a long-distance touring trip.
