Ducati Files Patent for Latest Diavel V4, Ready for This Refreshment

Ducati is preparing the latest version of the Diavel V4. This refers to a patent filed by Ducati to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

Quoting from the 2banhvn website, Thursday, January 8, from the patent images shared, it can be confirmed that this is a 'refresh' and not a total overhaul.

Ducati maintains its muscular DNA, with a low, long, and aggressive profile that is the hallmark of the current Diavel V4. However, if you look closely, there are some new details that are worth noting, especially on the front of the bike.

The most striking change is the new air hole on both sides of the headlights. The design is very similar to the Diavel V4 RS, giving it a more sporty look.

Another improvement is the new wheel set, which features a more sporty design compared to the current model. The tires remain Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV, indicating Ducati's intention not to change the direction of the model's performance.

However, the most valuable aspect is the suspension system. Increasing the contrast of the design image clearly shows the cables on the front fork tube, indicating that the new Diavel V4 will be equipped with the Ducati Skyhook electronic suspension system, similar to the Multistrada V4 S.

In addition, the TFT screen has also been changed. The new rectangular screen case looks bigger, and it is likely that Ducati will increase its size to 6.5 inches to replace the 5-inch size on the current standard version.

The engine itself looks unchanged, but the exhaust system has changed, with four new, angled cut exhaust tips and a bulge visible underneath, just in front of the rear wheel.

Ducati filed its design on December 19, 2025, the same day they filed designs for the new DesertX and Hypermotard V2, which means we can expect the Diavel V4 S to arrive for the 2026 model year.
